HMRC are requesting employers to include a note on your employees’ payslips in April 2022 to let them know of the new Health and Social Care Levy.

The new 1.25 levy will be introduced after 6 April 2022 across the UK to fund reforms in the care sector. It will also increase funding for the NHS.

The message required on the payslip should read; ‘1.25% uplift in NICs funds NHS, Health & Social Care‘
