If you’re selling goods or services (into your personal bank account) on a regular basis for a profit, then you maybe in business as self employed. You will sometimes be referred to as a Sole Trader.

 

In most countries, the authorities will accept applications for official registration as Self-employed if you meet the criteria below;

** You demonstrate that you have full responsibility over the success or failure of the business

** You have the responsibility to buy most of the equipment needed to do the work.

** If you hire someone else, you will have the responsibility of paying them.

** You have control over when and how the work or service is done. This should be with several customers preferably.
