For your personal taxes, 31 January 2022 will mean the following for you;

* Your self assessment should have been submitted
* Taxes due on your self assessment should have been paid

HMRC is strict and aggressive with enforcing the January deadline. Make sure that your self assessment is submitted and you have received your bill for it if there is tax payable.

If you cannot pay up your tax bill by 31 January 2022, you will need to call HMRC on their usual line 03002003310 and ask for a payment plan. This is called a Time to Pay arrangement (TTP)
